INFP (Not INFJ)

INFP - "Questor". High capacity for caring. Emotional face to the world. High sense of honor derived from internal values. 4.4% of total population.
Free Jung Personality Test (similar to Myers-Briggs/MBTI)

Introverted, iNtuitive, Feeling, Perceiving. After retaking the MBTI a few times and in a few places, I am not an INFJ but rather, an INFP. Maybe I will try to explore this further in another post. The difference between the J and P, from what I understand: I think that a J indicates that a person has a preference for their Judging function (Thinking or Feeling/T or F) and a P at the end indicates a preference for their Perceiving function (Sensing or iNtuition). It seems apt that I favor my Perceiving function over my Judging function for the most part but there are times when that preference can shift.

It is not judging as in judgement, but judging as in weighing the options (at least that is the way I understand it).

praveen...that was so lovely, thank you. i do feel that i am flying over a new horizon, always. :)

richard...ah, that is good to hear because in all sincerity, i am very compassionate and non-judgmental about people and their experiences.

there's a great free resource at www.INFJ.com

anonymous...thanks for the link. interestingly though, i took two other forms of the MBTI and both of those identify me as INFP. After reading descriptions for both, I think I am more INFP than INFJ but much of the INFJ description does fit. thanks for stopping by.

If you are like me, you might be borderline on some of your attributes. Depending on my mood, I can flip between INTP and INTJ because I am very borderline onthe whole P/J thing.

There is a test somewhere on the web that gives you a percentage breakdown. You know, like 33% E and 67% I/

richard...yes, i think that i can flip between the P and J but my percentage on one of the tests indicates that i definitely do lean toward my perceiving function more than my judging function, which does seem accurate on the whole.

interestingly, i had my mom and two sisters take the MBTI and their results seem very accurate both to them and to one another.
