Little Miss Sunshine

This movie is incredible. If you have not seen it...go out and rent it immediately. Better yet, just buy it because it is a movie that you will want to watch over and over.

Beyond the wit and great acting (Greg Kinnear, Toni Collette, Steve Carell, Alan Arkin) is a beautiful depiction of humanity by way of dysfunction that we can all relate to. The struggle that each of the characters face (and they all do in their own way) hits home...reiterating the significance of human connection...that we fundamentally have far more in common with one another than differences. We all have hopes and fears, ways of coping with the disappointment we bring upon ourselves. Beautiful movie.

Sounds good to me, I'll just have to annoy all the staff of my local DVD rental trying to find it! They seem to dislike my taste for films!
Oh I missed reading your posts so much!

Yes, annoy them until you get it! :-) This movie is so worth it and I think even the French would appreciate this movie! It isn't your typical American blockbuster...you know, predictable, lacking in substance but over the top with special effects!

I've missed reading your posts too!

Kim...so happy to hear that you agree. But, I must say that I am not surprised...you do have excellent taste!

Ha ha...is that a challenge? Are you referring to my lackluster amount (and quality?!) of blogging as of late? Okay, okay...now I really need to step it up, don't I?! :-) But let me just say, it is going to be very challenging to top the penis/mouse entries you and Thomas posted!

Thanks for stopping by. Miss you. Maybe I need to get crazy one of these nights and send you a long email again?!

I saw this gem in January and it is truly one of my favorite movies of all time. I honestly loved every minute...and as I think of it right now, I can still hear the broken horn. ;)

Erin...I know. It has definitely become an all-time favorite for me as well. And I love that you pointed out the broken horn. When I first saw the movie, I could not stop laughing. I think I was literally choking, it was so hilarious! Love it!
